Why So Serioussss!?

Ladies and Gentlemen of our great nation please remember that we are all working towards the same goal—> improving the work of our founding father. We must stop accusing eachother of crimes we did not commit and focus on creating legislation that will mantain our stable economy and rally behind the leader this great country needs and deserves.

Let’s put a smile on that face :)

Middle East Party Conference coverage

As one of the people in charge of our party’s blog I listened in on the Middle East party’s conference with their expert from the State Department.

The major concerns raised by the party were the relations between Iran and it’s neighbours as well as the relations between Israel and the Palestinians. Unfortunately for the expert did not know much about the European’s policies regarding the Middle East.

The main issues raised were:

  • Iran’s nuclear programme and the effects this is having on it’s neighbours and the international community in general
  • Immigration was also discussed, however, the expert did not cover European migration policies (which in truth is the concern of Loudenia)
  • Israeli-Palestinian conflict was discussed and the expert said that Israel “buys stuff from us” (eg. F15′s), which clearly shows the military support Israel receives from the U.S. The expert also stated that the U.S supports the formation of the Palestinian Government in order to institutionalise a long lasting peace agreement.

Some interesting comments in my opinion were-

  • that the resettlement programme of Palestinian refugees was an Israeli issue and that this is the reality of the modern state- people displaced by conflict just have to accept that they won’t return (??)”it’s sad but that’s the reality of the modern state”
  • the situation in Iraq is improving as negotiations have started between the 3 major groups of Iraqi politics due to the decrease in insurgent attacks.
  • Jordan has a free trade agreement with the U.S

Unfortunately for all those involved the expert gave U.S positions and not those of the E.U- the supranational organisation our great nation is part of!!

Russian Party’s Teleconference with Expert

Dave Restrapo, one of our Press Secretaries, visted the conference involving Ian Kelly head of Russian Affairs at the U.S State Department  and the Loudenians for Freedom and Democracy.

Since the expert was from the Department of State the issues discussed were from a U.S perspective, it was not too relevent to the affairs of Laudenia.

The Major issues discussed were:

  • the obstacles Russia must overcome to join the WTO
  • More foreign investment in russian oil and natural gas is needed in order for it to become a stable source of these invaluable resources
  • Russia is a proud nation but needs help to develop infrastructure
  • Hostile to nato

Yet again not much was said regarding the European Union and the relationship between the Union and our most powerful neighbour. Nothing was said about the trade relationship between Russia and the EU.

We are a member of the European Union and a major contributor in the Union’s GDP. As a major industrial power with a wide variety of resources and products being exported within the Union and the EFTA area but also oustide the Union we must adhere to the trade policies created by the EU and WTO. However, we must always keep the Kyoto-protocol and the EU’s various environmental policies in mind when developing our own legislation.
